Yoga

Rob and Steve have been practicing yoga for 14 years. Both are former Ashtanga students who gradually moved into Anusara-- studying with John Friend, Sianna Sherman and Mitchel Bleier.

Their classes emphasis the body, mind and spirit through an open heart, focus and optimal alignment. They teach in tandem so the student receives manual adjustments with every class. Their Tuesday class is geared to both the beginner and those moving into the intermediate stage.

Phoenix - Phoenix earned her Bachelors degree in Health and Physical Education from NKU. She has been a certified Yoga instructor for 10 years. Her studies in Yoga include various styles primarily focusing on Iyengar and Anusara. In addition, she is a certified Ta'i Chi Chih instructor and has been teaching this form since 1996. She continued to expand her knowledge in Yoga, Ta'i Chi and meditation practices while teaching English in Japan for 3 years. Phoenix sees Yoga as a timeless system of self-care that invites students to explore their physical, mental and spiritual aspects while gaining strength, suppleness and balance. She has taught classes for over 8 years in the Greater Cincinnati area. Her goal as a teacher is to draw from the variety of styles she has studied and combine them into a fully integrated practice. She works to create space in her classes for the cultivation of healthy body alignment, positive flow of energy in the body, and a more peaceful and open heart

Cezarina  - Cezarina started practicing yoga and meditation in 2002 and soon after realized the healing power of body –mind—spirit connection. She spent three years in Niger, West Africa (between 2007-2010) and was able to bring yoga to kids and adults in this international community, witnessing amazing transformations in people’s lives (including her own), awakening to new passions (painting, music making, dance and energy work). Cezarina loves sharing her creative gifts with everyone who would like to enjoy more life balance and a deeper connection to their true selves. She is trained as a Radiant Child Yoga Instructor Levels I and II and has completed her 200 hours Vishwa Yoga Teacher Training at Cincinnati Yoga School. Other certifications are life and wellness coaching for individuals and groups as well as Reiki levels 1 and 2. Her yoga classes are a flow of yang and yin energy (yin stretches are passive and emphasize release of connective tissue, while yang stretches are active and emphasize lengthening of muscle tissues) plus centering, balance postures and ending with deep relaxation-- and they are prenatal friendly! Get ready to feel good, quiet the mind & find your center.
RESTORATIVE YIN YOGA Class -This class is open to all levels of yoga experience. Yoga poses are held passively for longer durations to allow "release" over stretching, a safe and gentle exercise for the connective tissue. Join us in a magical candle lit atmosphere to explore what it means to let it ALL go, relaxing, and creating more space in the body to ease the activity of the mind and to center oneself into a place of inner balance
